The architectural intervention emerges as a dynamic response to the site’s pronounced topography and its contextual dialogue with the coastal landscape, the historic village path, and the preserved Ottoman fort of the harbour. The design is rooted in a sensitive adaptation to the terrain’s natural topography, with four distinct volumetric units strategically anchored to the slope at varying elevations and angular orientations. These volumes trace a nuanced relationship to the adjacent village fabric, the waterfront, and the historic coastal morphology, harmonizing contemporary living with vernacular heritage.

The complex integrates six self-contained residences, each with secluded outdoor terraces that cascade with the slope, ensuring privacy and framed views. The deliberate fragmentation of volumes and the interplay of solid and void foster a rhythmic dialogue with the historic settlement, creating moments of pause and visual discovery for both residents and visitors. The building’s composition prioritizes permeability and connectivity, featuring a central stone-paved pathway that bisects the structure’s core, extending the existing village trail into the heart of the project. This axial circulation spine generates multi-level access points to the buildings. Semi-outdoor transitional spaces -expressed as shaded pergolas- bridge the autonomous volumes, dissolving boundaries between architecture and environment while providing sheltered thresholds to private courtyards.

The design employs a restrained material palette of whitewashed facades, local stone, polished concrete, and timber, echoing the coastal vernacular. The project’s tectonic language balances modernist rigor with contextual sensitivity, ensuring the architecture remains both a contemporary landmark and a respectful continuation of the site’s layered narrative.
